Attention Educational Qualification for Railway Jobs in Level-1 

• The prescribed minimum educational qualification for direct recruitment of staff in Level-1 of the pay matrix in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, and Signal and telecom departments and in the Catering wing of Railways is 10th pass plus a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by the National Council for Vocational Training or 10th pass plus ITI.
• This prescribed minimum educational qualification was, however, relaxed to 10th pass or National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC) granted by the National Council for Vocational Training or ITI or equivalent for recruitments to Level-1 posts/vacancies in technical departments of Railways notified under Centralized Employment Notice No. 02/2018 and RRC-01/2019 issued by Railway Recruitment Boards in February 2018 & March 2019 respectively.
• It is for the information of the general public that this relaxation in. minimum educational qualification was only a special dispensation for recruitments being done under Centralized Employment Notice No. 02/2018 and RRC-01/2019. The minimum educational qualification for future recruitments notified after 15.06.2019 in Level-1 of the pay matrix in technical departments (i.e. Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Signal & Telecom departments) and Catering wing of Railways will be 10th pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training OR 10th pass plus ITI. All prospective candidates may note and be prepared accordingly.
